Profit & Loss (P&L) Report

The Profit & Loss (P&L) report gives you a clear snapshot of your store’s financial performance for any date range. See revenue, costs, and profit in one place—then drill into details like ad spend by channel, custom costs,... Use it to spot what’s driving margin changes and make faster decision

Heads up:

To view this report, you need to:

  • Upgrade to the Advanced plan or higher. (Basic plan doesn’t include the P&L report.)

  • Use a Viewer or Admin role. If you’re on another role like editor, ask your store owner/admin to change your role to Viewer or Admin so you can access the report.

How to view your P&L Report

  1. From the left menu, go to P&L Report.

  2. In the top-right of the P&L Report, pick a date range and a display interval (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).


How to read the report

After you pick a date range, the table below lists all key metrics for your store.
Tip: Scroll the table and see expandable details (e.g., ad spend by channel or custom cost).

Revenue = Gross Sales - Discounts - Returns + Taxes Collected + Shipping Charged + Custom Revenue

COGS

Shipping Costs

Transaction Fees

Total Ad Spend

Expandable by integrated ad channels: e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads

Taxes Paid

Custom Cost

Expandable by categories: e.g., Marketing

Total Costs

Total Costs = Cost of Goods Sold + Handling Fees + Shipping Costs + Total Ad Spend + Transaction Fees + Custom Costs + Taxes Paid

Tips

Gift Card Sales

Gross Profit

Gross Profit = Revenue + Tips + Gift Card Sales - COGS - Shipping Costs - Transaction Fees - Handling Fees

Net Profit

Net Profit = Revenue + Tips + Gift Card Sales - Total Costs - Taxes Collected

In case: in the Calculation Preferences Section, you checkbox the option:
“Exclude Taxes Collected metric from Net Profit formula: Net Profit = Revenue + Tips + Gift Card Sales - Total Cost”

so the formula will be:
Net Profit = Revenue + Tips + Gift Card Sales - Total Costs

Net Profit Margin

Net Profit Margin= (Net Profit ÷ Revenue) × 100%
