What is the Cost of Goods (COGS)?โ
COGS is the amount you pay for products you sell. For dropshipping, this usually means the price you paid to your supplier (like CJdropshipping), not the price your customer pays.
Example:
If you sell a t-shirt for $15 and bought it from your supplier for $5, your COGS is $5. Knowing your COGS makes it much easier to see how much profit youโre really making.

When COGS is being auto-synced from CJdropshipping or Shopify, you cannot directly edit the COGS value in your product list.
To see the COGS for all your products, simply tap on the product level cell.
If you manually enter the COGS at the product level, the value you enter will automatically apply to all related product variants.
For products with multiple variants that have different COGS, TrueProfit will display the COGS as a range (for example, "$10โ$15").
When you are done making changes, remember to save your updates so they are applied to your report.
Important note: Manually entered COGS values cannot replace or change the COGS data that is synced from CJdropshipping.
