If you run more than one Shopify store (for example, one priced in EUR and another in CAD) and want to see combined profit numbers across both, a natural question comes up: does a consolidated dashboard automatically convert everything into a single currency, or does each store just stay in its own currency side by side?
The short answer: any profit-tracking tool that supports multi-store consolidation needs to pick one reporting currency and convert every connected store into it using exchange rates; otherwise, the combined totals wouldn't mean anything (you can't simply add EUR and CAD together).
How TrueProfit handles it
In the consolidated "All Stores" dashboard, TrueProfit converts every connected store into a single currency before summing them, using your store's currency as the base, with exchange rates updated daily. So if you connect a EUR store and a CAD store, they won't stay in their own currencies in the combined view; the app converts one to match the other automatically before adding the totals together.
On top of that, you can choose a different display currency for how the final numbers are shown. Go to Account info (top right) → Display currency. This is independent of which currency your stores are actually priced in.
Note: this display setting only changes how numbers are presented; the underlying data and cost calculations are always based on your store's Shopify currency first, then converted for display.
Quick example: connect a EUR store and a CAD store. TrueProfit converts both into your base currency using that day's exchange rate, then sums them. You can additionally set the display currency to, say, USD, and see the combined total reported in USD regardless of what each store charges customers in.
