When running ads on different platforms (like Facebook, Google, or TikTok), it’s important to know which ads actually bring you sales. With TrueProfit, you can easily create tracking URLs that include UTM parameters. These help you track ad performance directly in TrueProfit — no need to use other tools like Google Analytics.
You use this feature to track how each ad or campaign performs, and TrueProfit does the setup for you.

What are the TrueProfit URL parameters?
TrueProfit URL parameters are small pieces of information added to your website link (URL). They help TrueProfit identify exactly where your visitors and orders come from — for example, from a Facebook ad, Google campaign, or TikTok video.
TrueProfit URL parameters are required because they:
Tell TrueProfit where your traffic and sales come from.
Link your ad data with your sales data for accurate attribution.
Ensure your reports show the real performance of each marketing channel.
Without TrueProfit parameters, we can’t correctly match your sales to the ads that generated them.
How to build a URL Parameter in TrueProfit?
Steps
From the dashboard, click "Marketing Attribution" on the left navigation.
From the Marketing Attribution page, click "Build a URL Parameter" in step 3.
3. Fill in the form
Destination website URL (required): Enter the page you want to promote (e.g. a product page).
TrueProfit URL parameters(required): Select where you’ll run the ad (e.g. Facebook Ads, Google Ads).
Tracking URL (optional): Add extra parameters campaign name, source, or other identifiers — to see where visitors come from.
You can either:
Enter your own value: e.g. spring_sale, black_friday
Select a dynamic parameter from the list e.g. {{campaign.name}}) that will automatically fill based on your ad platform.
After completing all required fields, TrueProfit automatically fills your Ad ID. If your destination URL is a product page, it also detects your Product ID. Then, it generates a ready-to-use tracking URL that you can copy and use in your ad.
4. Click Copy
5. Paste it into your ad’s destination URL field. Read to know where the Ad destination URL in Ad channels is
Important note: Dynamic parameters
Each marketing platform supports specific dynamic parameters. Make sure to select parameters compatible with your chosen platform.
If you change the platform after selecting a parameter, it may show as “not compatible.
