You've probably asked yourself this before: “This order sold for $150, but how much did I actually keep after accounting for the ads that helped bring in the sale?”
Previously, TrueProfit estimated ad cost per order using your overall ad spend. Now, the Orders Report shows Ad Spend and Net Profit for each individual order based on the ad clicks tracked before the purchase. More clicks mean a larger share of the ad spend; fewer clicks mean a smaller share.
This helps you see how advertising costs affect the profitability of a specific order instead of relying on a store-wide average.
Where to find Ad Spend per order
From the left navigation, go to Orders Report and look for the Ad Spend and Net Profit columns.
Ad Spend shows how much of your advertising cost is allocated to that order.
Net Profit includes the Ad Spend allocated to that order, along with your other costs.
Instead of guessing, you can now see exactly which orders were genuinely profitable after ads, and which ones quietly cost you more in ad spend than they brought back.
Prerequisites for accurate Ad Spend allocation
To get the most accurate Ad Spend numbers, connect all the ad platforms you're running campaigns on (Meta, Google, TikTok, and any others). If a platform isn't connected, its ad clicks won't be tracked, and the Ad Spend allocation will be incomplete.

Important note:
Ad Spend data is only available for orders placed after you installed TrueProfit. Orders placed before installation won't have any ad click data, so they'll show a dash (—) instead of an amount.
A few things to know
You may see "est." next to an Ad Spend amount. This means the Ad Spend has been calculated but may still change as more order or ad spend data becomes available. Once the amount is finalized, the "est." label disappears. This is normal and needs no action from you.
Orders with no tracked ad clicks show $0 Ad Spend. Their Net Profit is calculated without deducting any Ad Spend.
If your ad accounts are already connected, there's no additional setup needed. TrueProfit automatically calculates Ad Spend for orders where the required tracking and ad spend data are available.
The Ad Spend total in the Orders Report may not exactly match the total ad spend shown elsewhere for the same date range. Orders Report totals are based on the Ad Spend allocated to the orders included in the report.
If an order is later refunded or canceled, its allocated Ad Spend stays unchanged.
