Connecting your Gelato account with TrueProfit helps you keep track of your print-on-demand product costs (COGS) per order and track accurate shipping costs automatically. This makes it easy to monitor your true profits and optimize your business.

Before you start, make sure you are using the same Gelato email address as your Shopify store so the syncing works smoothly.

4. In the pop-up, enter your Gelato store ID and API key (see instructions below to get your API key).

5. Click Connect to complete the setup.

Step 1: Log into your Gelato account, or register with them here if you don't have an account yet.

Step 2: Get Store ID

Go to “Stores”, and select the connected store that you want to get order data from.

In your browser’s address bar, you’ll see a URL—copy the Store ID number from that URL. Then, paste this Store ID into the integration popup in TrueProfit.

Step 3: Get API key

Expand Developer on the left menu and select API Key

3. Click on Add API key.

4. Add a name for the API that is easy to recognize (e.g. TrueProfit) and click Create Key

5. An API Key will be generated. Click Copy to clipboard, to paste it in TrueProfit.

After connecting, TrueProfit will start syncing your Gelato account information and order data automatically.

After a few minutes, you can check your synced Gelato orders in the TrueProfit Orders Report. When orders match between Gelato and your store, you’ll see Gelato’s icon displayed on your COGS and Shipping Costs fields.You should use this synced data to check and adjust your COGS and shipping fees to ensure accurate profit calculations.

Note:Only orders that are marked as DELIVERED or SHIPPED in Gelato will be updated in TrueProfit.
