Connecting your Stripe account with TrueProfit helps you keep track of your transaction fee per order automatically. This makes it easy to monitor your true profits and optimize your business.

How to connect with Stripe
Before you start, make sure you are using the same Stripe email address as your Shopify store so the syncing works smoothly.
Go to the main menu in TrueProfit, select Integrations > Payment Providers
In the integrations list, find and select Stripe.
Click Connect to begin linking your Stripe account.
In the pop-up, enter your Stripe restricted API key (see instructions below to get your restricted key).
Click Connect to complete the setup.
How to get restricted API Key from your Stripe
Step 1:
Log in to your Stripe account. If you don’t have one, sign up and complete their onboarding process.
Step 2:
Once you’re logged in, click "Developer" in the bottom left of the page > "API keys"
Step 3:
In the API keys tab, click the "Create restricted key" button in the Restricted keys section.
Step 4: Select "Provide this key to another website." > Click "Continue"
Step 5: Fill in the details:
Name: TrueProfit
URL: for example, https://app.trueprofit.io/dashboard
> click "Create restricted keys"
Step 6: Click Copy to clipboard immediately once the restricted key is generated, because it’s shown only once after it’s created. Later, you can’t see the full key or copy it anymore. Then paste it into the TrueProfit Stripe integration pop-up.
After connecting, TrueProfit will start syncing your Stripe transaction fee information and order data automatically.
Viewing Your Synced Data from Stripe
After a few minutes, you can check your synced Stripe transactions in the TrueProfit Orders Report. When orders match between Stripe and your store, you’ll see the Stripe icon displayed on your Transaction Fees, COGS, and Shipping Costs fields. You should use this synced data to review and adjust your transaction fees to ensure accurate profit calculations.
Disconnecting Stripe
To disconnect Stripe from TrueProfit:
Click the Disconnect button next to Stripe on the Integrations page.
In the confirmation pop-up, click Confirm.
